Mastering Collective Bargaining
Skills and Tools for Delivering Results at the Table
Five days of live simulation, decision labs, and applied tools. Leave ready to lead at the table — not someday, Monday morning.
WHAT CHANGES MONDAY MORNING
A Synopsis of the Program
This experiential workshop is taught by facilitators and coaches who have been to the bargaining table hundreds of times in leadership roles for both management and union teams. Our professionals have experienced every type of bargaining -- every tactic, strategy and approach at the table – and know what works and what doesn’t. The collective bargaining process is organized into a clear, systematic and repeatable process you can successfully apply for the rest of your labour relations career.
This training will lead you through the full preparation process, in teams, and culminates in a full day bargaining session where every skill and tool is applied and tested. Experienced coaches will support the bargaining and deliver feedback on every aspect of the simulation.
Hear from the Best: As a bonus, on the final day you will hear from the best – union and management leaders with decades of experience at the table will share their best practices and lived experience as they pay forward what they have learned.
Our Support Guarantee: To support your learnings, you will have access to these professionals long after the workshop is over, to ensure you’re able to apply what you learned in your own unique situation and workplace.
After five days, you will:
Build and execute a complete bargaining strategy — from mandate to final agreement
Manage table dynamics under pressure without losing your position
Read proposals, cost packages, and identify settlement options in real time
Handle impasse, caucus effectively, and know when to move
Walk into your next round of bargaining with a plan, not a wish list
