Leading and Managing in Unionized Environments

Critical Skills and Tools for Managers, Supervisors and Union Stewards

Build the skills to manage effectively in a unionized workplace — from grievance handling to day-to-day labour relations.

WHAT CHANGES MONDAY MORNING

A Synopsis of the Program

All workplaces, and especially unionized ones, develop a culture that either promotes performance and collaboration, or descends into friction and conflict. Often, this is because the people critical to leading at the front lines – managers, supervisors and union stewards – have never been trained in how to work effectively together, especially in unionized settings.  It doesn’t need to be this way.

Centred around an exercise-based learning environment led by a facilitators and coaches with decades of practical experience, participants will leave with a clear plan for building a healthy and strong culture in any unionized (as well as any non-unionized) environment.

Hear from the Best: As a bonus, on the final day you will hear from the best – union and management leaders with decades of experience in unionized workplaces will share their best practices and lived experience as they pay forward what they have learned.

Our Support Guarantee: To support your learnings, you will have access to your facilitator and coach long after the workshop is over, to ensure you’re able to apply what you learned in your own unique situation and workplace.
