Allison Arnold is a senior labour relations and human resources leader with extensive experience strengthening organizational effectiveness and leading complex labour relations portfolios in a large, unionized public sector environment. Throughout her career, she has advised senior leaders through high-stakes issues while building trusted, collaborative relationships with unions, sector partners, and governance bodies.
Allison retired from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2026 after 25+ years in progressive Human Resources roles, culminating in her leadership as Director of Faculty and Staff Relations. As the university’s senior authority on labour relations, she guided strategy across diverse academic and nonacademic employee groups, served as Chief Negotiator for multiple bargaining teams, modernized labour relations processes, and negotiated two first collective agreements.
Allison holds a Professional Master of Industrial Relations from Queen’s University, complemented by credentials in conflict management and mediation. She has contributed to the broader sector through roles such as Chair of the OVAC DE, President of the Association of University Human Resource Professionals, and participation in provincial and national working groups focused on labour relations and workforce policy.
Widely recognized for her strategic insight, collaborative leadership style, and ability to navigate complexity with clarity and fairness, Allison now supports organizations such as Alderville First Nation and the York Region Children’s Aid Society through her independent consulting practice.
